A new experimental explorer ship as been created to explorer the far reaches of the galaxy and beyond.

The year is 2228, and the most exciting thing since the successful colonization of Mars back in 2068 is about take place. An experimental ship, Dubbed in the UNSC Long Shadow is about to takes it maiden voyage into the unknown regions space, her and her crew will be the first people ever to travel past Mars, and experience new places first hand.

You are the one of the lucky few who have been selected to join us (insert name here). Your test results for your (enter job title here) have put you on the fast track to promotion and will make you a VITAL member of our crew. 2062	First Domed City in Mars.. Conveniently named Dome City
2065	Operation New Frontier launched, the operation is about the speedy development and population of Mars
2068	A new world! With the successful colonization of Mars, a whole new shipping industry was created, making billions of new jobs for a suffering economy.
2070	MDP- Mars Defense Program created, the defense of Mars was given control to 3 major Security Firms, as the USNC was struggling with policing Mars and keeping space pirates in check.
2080	The Riots- Labors and lower class workers start Riots over work condition and treatment by the MDP employees. Mars is brought into lock down and Rioters are quelled.
2085	A criminal group known as "The Red Hand" begins sales of illegal small arms to laborers and lower class workers, police action is taken. However "The Red Hand" remains a steady to this day.
2115	Riots in New Dallas, quickly spiral out of control when the MDP open fire with live ammunition on group of unarmed rioters. Nearly resulting in a all out revolt in that Dome. All Personnel where prosecuted and are serving multiple life sentences for their crimes.
2125	WAR!- The Corporations of Mars, declare independence from Earth and start a war.
2140	The 15 year war- after 15 brutal years of fighting, the USNC is victorious. While corporations still run security on Mars, they are close watched by Space Marines.
2145-2205	Citizens continue to populate mars, seeking a new life and new opportunities.
2215	The USNC announces its latest project to build a ship that will have the ability to explore past Mars, and find new planets to colonize.
Present.	With the completion of the Long Shadow, this new experimental ship will soon defy the boundaries which man once that they couldn't surpass.
