This is prologue to larger campaign of The Rise of Shadows, the game takes place in an alternate universe from that of the traditional champions universe.

Setting: Year is 2008 mid summer.

In the spring of 2006 Dr. Alexander Zeigfreid made a small archeological discovery, he found a artifact of unknown origin in the remote regions of Antarctica. The strangely shaped object made of a mineral far more dense than any known mineral on earth, is carved in strange symbols unlike anything the Doctor has seen. He took his find back to lab in New York, at the Rushsion Technology center of archeology.

For two years Dr. Zeigfreid analyzed the artifact to determine its origin and purpose. In mid spring 2008 with the help of his assistant Charles Leyfont they made a break through. The artifact was determined to be a map, and possible a key, to temple somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The good doctor took his findings to his employer Mr. Garrick Rushsion and ask for the resources and teams necessary for possibly the largest archeological find in human history. By summer of 2008 the operation was under way.

Background information:
Garrick Rushsion: 36 year old male is the CEO and founder of Rushsion Industries the worlds largest Technology firm. The company has made many advancements in medical technology, and the farming industry. With its latest break through known as Miracle Farming, Rushsion Industries found a way to grow any crop in almost every enviroment. It is also rumored that the company is working in conjunction with US military for advance weaponry and armor.

Dr. Alexander Zeigfreid is an archeologist and paleontologist. His primary job is to oversee operations from the Rushsion Technology center of archeology but he often goes on digs and leaves his assistant charles to oversee matters.

Charles Leyfont is the assistant to Dr. Zeigfreid, who often finds himself taking on more work then he gets paid to do.

Commander Lars Harrison is the Commanding Officer of Rushsion's Private Security Firm, overseeing all operations worldwide and delegating duties to teams around the globe.

Captain Miles Wentworth originally a British native, moved to America after 15 years in the Royal Navy. He now commands the Sundrake the Flag ship for this trip, his vast knowledge of the sea and oceans makes a valuable asset to the team. His ship has a full arsenal and security teams prepared to fight off any threats that may occur during this sea voyage.

Players begin play with 100 cps and 100 available disadvantage points, this is going currently be heroic and at the end of the prologue it will change to super heroic. you can use the Dark Champions book. Characters should be some how involved with Rushsion industries or be interested in the dig. PCs could be part of the dig team or the security team, or be a fellow archaeologist tagging along. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message. Currently not accepting players may allow, a really really awesome character to join the prologue at least.

Here is little information to wet your tongues
The story picks back up June of 2011, about 2 and half years after the prologue. Much has changed since then, people with super powers have to light. Most of the first known people with powers were super villains using the abilities for evil.
