Located in the middle of the continental United States is the flourishing Sentry City. Located in the Champions Universe, this mid-sized hustling, bustling metropolis has it share of solo heroes. Its heroes have never needed to form a unified team before until...
Campaign Description
Sentry City is like any other super hero city. Complete with skyscrapers, a major airport, railroad system. and a variety of individuals.
Sentry City is most like the bronze age (1970s to 1990s), but the adventure begins on June, 6, 2006. Sentry City doesn't have a high crime rate. In fact its major villain has always been VIPER. Sure it has its own villains, and other villains have visited Sentry City, but the solo heroes (the applicants) haven't had a big enough threat to join forces. That is until... I'm looking for approximately 6 players. Quotes
So, Your telling me that a group of aliens have been camped out under Sentry City for almost two centuries. During this time you've adapted some human traits (specifically emotions and in-fighting). You see yourselves as being far superior to humans and you're going to start "testing" people to see who meets your high standards.......
...Some highly intellegent, super alien race you turned out to be. Fast Freddy to alien: Rockto
So let me get this straight. You guys are going to pick someone to give access to your tech and stuff. For a couple hundred years, you've been thinking that humans weren't worthy as a whole. But now, you've got folks seriously thinking that "Viper" is worthy of it? Are you sure you're telepaths?
Steele to alien: Taka
I don't mind being primitive in this case. You were not invited to my house or my mind. The only reason I haven't taken offensive action is because you have me curious.....
... Do you have anything else to waste my time with? Ocular to alien: Harkta
-{your right I have now Idea what it is like to eat out of a dumpster
when I show up little kids would rather run deeper into a fire to get away from me that be rescued maybe if we sit down we can find out what you can do and start there I can set you 4 up with a place to live and get on your feet ,learn a trade and learn to live on your own. there are jobs you can do that no one ever needs to see you if you so choose or you can make your self seen and fight for equality not so long ago blacks had the same problems you have now the world needs to grow up and the only way that is going to happen is if you are out there pushing to make it happen just remember that if you make the choice to end it all you cannot change it back where as if you choose to live choices are going to be there all the time some you might regret others you will wonder why you did not do this earlier }-- Wraith to outcasts
Being a Hero isn't just about wearing a military uniform and fighting on the front lines or being one of this country's Mystery Men, fighting fifth columnists or racketeers on the home front."
"It's the ordinary joe or jane that, although they can't fight themselves or have no special abilities, fight the good fight in their own way..." (At this point faint strains of Glory Glory Hallelujah start to seep in in the background.) "It's the kids who go on paper drives and save scrap metal and recycle to make sure nothing's wasted." "It's the housewives who save their bacon grease to recycle it as oil and lubricants for machinery." "It the women who work swing shift at Lockheed to make the weapons of war for their fighting men to fight with." "It's the blind, who, although they can't fight themselves, volunteer to help at those plants by sorting nuts and bolts by size and shape, using only their sense of touch to guide them." "It's grandmothers who knit sweaters and sew quilts and bake to make care packages for those soldiers." "It's the young girls who go without or donate their nylons for use in making powder cannisters for anti-aircraft guns" "It's the men who aren't fit for duty, who volunteer as Civil Defense and Air Raid Wardens to try to to keep their neighborhoods safe." "It's the ladies who volunteer to cook, dance, and be hostesses with the USO to entertain those servicemen and women who deserve to relax between battles to keep America free." "It's the girlfriends, and wives and children of those servicemen who give them a reason to fight for our freedoms and come home safe." "In short, it's All Americans who are heroes, fighting and supporting those who fight in any way they can, to keep the homefires burning, the flag waving, and America the home of the free and the land of the brave."
